Enagás Renovable takes part in the 6th edition of the Renewable Gas Exhibition

Once again, we took part in the 6th edition of the Renewable Gas Exhibition, alongside the 19th International Bioenergy Congress, benchmark events dedicated to biogas, biomethane, and renewable gases. This past September 29 and 30 at the Feria de Valladolid, the entire sector gathered in one place to share the achievements of the past year and the projects whose capacity fosters the drive for energy transition and innovation in our country.

At the Enagás Renovable stand, visitors were able to learn firsthand about the most innovative projects we are developing in biomethane, all aimed at moving toward a more sustainable energy model based on the circular economy and solutions that contribute to decarbonization.

The event was once again widely acclaimed, consolidating its growth for another year with the attendance of over 4,200 professionals and the presence of more than 300 exhibiting companies from around the world, presenting their cutting-edge technologies for biomethane production, purification, and injection, as well as digestate recovery.

In addition, as sponsors of the International Bioenergy Congress, we reinforced our commitment to technical knowledge and debate on the future of energy. In this framework, Antonio Illescas, Business Development and Biomethane Operations Director, participated as a speaker to analyze the challenges and opportunities facing the sector in Spain.

During his presentation, he advocated a hybrid production model adapted to each territory and highlighted the progress of Enagás Renovable, which has the UNUE plant in operation and three projects under construction. He also called for a single window to streamline administrative procedures, welcomed the mandatory consumption quotas proposed in the new regulatory framework, and emphasized the key value of Guarantees of Origin and Proofs of Sustainability in bringing transparency, traceability, and trust to the market.

Our participation in the 6th Renewable Gas Exhibition reaffirms our commitment to sector development and our determination to continue building strategic alliances to establish Spain as a benchmark in renewable gases.
