Enagás Renovable participates in the V Salón del Gas Renovable

2 de October de 2025

We have once again participated in the 5th Salón del Gas Renovable, held in parallel with the 18th International Bioenergy Congress—key events dedicated to biogas and biomethane. Taking place this past October 1st and 2nd in Valladolid, they brought together the main players in the energy sector and once again consolidated their position as a key meeting point to drive the energy transition and innovation in renewable gases.

At the Enagás Renovable stand, visitors had the opportunity to learn first-hand about the most innovative projects we are developing, all aimed at moving towards a more sustainable energy model based on the circular economy and solutions that contribute to decarbonization.

This year, the Renewable Gas Trade Fair featured Denmark as the guest country, sharing its experience as an international benchmark in biomethane development, with 40% of its energy demand already covered by this renewable gas. The event once again enjoyed a strong reception, further consolidating its growth with thousands of visitors and the participation of more than 250 national and international organizations showcasing cutting-edge technologies for biomethane production, upgrading and injection, green hydrogen generation, and digestate valorization as biofertilizer.

As part of our involvement, Enagás Renovable was a premium sponsor of the International Bioenergy Congress, reinforcing our commitment to the sector and playing an active role in the main program activities.

In addition, within the framework of the Congress, Antonio Illescas, Director of Business Development and Biomethane Operations, took part as a speaker, highlighting the strategic role of biomethane in the energy transition. He underlined its potential to transform waste into renewable energy and promote the circular economy, while also addressing the regulatory and permitting challenges the sector faces in Spain, the need for innovative business models and ambitious public policies, and advocating for the positive impact of biomethane on decarbonization, rural development, and national competitiveness—further consolidating Enagás Renovable’s leadership in the national energy debate.

Our participation in the 5th Renewable Gas Trade Fair reaffirms our commitment to the development of the sector and our determination to continue building strategic alliances that will help position Spain as a benchmark in renewable gases.
