Marta Margarit, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Enagás Renovable, highlights the key role of renewable hydrogen at World Hydrogen & Renewables Iberia 2023
13 de September de 2023The Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Enagás Renovable, Marta Margarit, participated in the panel discussion “Integrating Renewables and Hydrogen to Maximise Output” at World Hydrogen & Renewables Iberia 2023. The event brought together visionary leaders from the renewable energy and green hydrogen sector to discuss the challenges and opportunities in the transition to a more sustainable future.
The panel highlighted the crucial role that renewable hydrogen plays in the decarbonisation of the economy, replacing fossil fuels and facilitating the decarbonisation of sectors that are difficult to electrify, such as the chemical, cement and steel industries. The perspective was also shared on the key role of renewable hydrogen as a bridge between intermittent renewable energy sources and constant energy production, by being able to provide energy storage and generate electricity if needed.
Enagás Renovable’s development model based on collaboration and the development of strategic partnerships in green hydrogen projects was also discussed. Collaboration between companies is fundamental to the company’s corporate strategy to promote the development of renewable gases. During the event it became clear that, despite the possibility of competition and conflicts of interest, the common interest in the development of an emerging market prevails, and collaboration with other key players in the industry is essential to achieve synergies and efficiencies.
Enagás Renovable continues on its path to lead the transition towards a cleaner and more sustainable energy future, and Marta Margarit’s participation in World Hydrogen & Renewables Iberia 2023 reinforces its commitment to the renewable energy and green hydrogen sector.
