Enagás Renovable is a finalist in several categories of the RENMAD H2 2024 Awards

Enagás Renovable has been nominated in several categories in the second edition of the RENMAD H2 2024 Awards. In all of them, excellence is highlighted, as well as its significant contribution to the advancement of sustainable solutions in the energy sector.

Renewable H2 Project of the Year: Catalina Project

Together with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) and Fertiberia, Enagás Renovable has been nominated for “Renewable H2 Project of the Year” for Catalina. This innovative large-scale green hydrogen project aims to develop 1.1 GW of combined onshore wind and solar photovoltaic power plants, with a 500 MW electrolyser connected to a green ammonia plant.

Renewable H2 Developer of the Year: Enagás Renovable

Nomination for the “Renewable H2 Developer of the Year Award”. Leading the Green Hysland Mallorca project we are promoting more than 15 renewable hydrogen production projects in Spain with an electrolysis capacity jointly promoted with our partners of approximately 6 GW by 2030.

Renewable H2 Innovation of the Year: Green Hysland

Recognition for the most important innovation of the year, whether in technical, financial or business model advances. Enagás Renovable once again highlights the Green Hysland project, which aims to implement a hydrogen ecosystem on the island of Mallorca, making the island the first green hydrogen centre in southern Europe. Green Hysland, promoted together with Acciona Energía, CEMEX and the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE), won this award, as well as the “Renewable H2 Project of the Year Award” at the previous edition of the RENMAD H2 Awards.

ESG Award in H2 Renewable: Enagás Renewable’s Sustainable Commitment

Nomination for the “ESG Award in H2 renewable” for its focus on environmental, social and governance awareness. The Company is committed to decarbonisation and contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, promoting a sustainable and collaborative energy model.

Woman Renewable H2 2024 Award: Mónica Sánchez Delgado

Mónica Sánchez Delgado, business development coordinator for hydrogen projects at Enagás Renovable, has been nominated for the 2024 Woman in Renewable H2 Award. This award was won last year by the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Enagás Renovable, Marta Margarit.

Monica’s contribution to the development of renewable gases, leading the management of various green hydrogen projects, highlights the importance of women in the sector.

These nominations recognise Enagás Renovable’s commitment to innovation, sustainability and the development of the green hydrogen economy that drives the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.

The announcement of the winners and presentation of awards will take place at the gala dinner at RENMAD HIDROGENO 2024, the benchmark renewable hydrogen event to be held on 24 and 25 January 2024 in Zaragoza.
